FROM DAKOTA’S DEN: We are simply devastated that we didn’t know anything about the event that is honoring Easy as he is headed “home.” We would have written a proper post. Because this day is too important not to acknowledge, we are posting what we wrote on Cody’s blog a few weeks ago:
“All about our truly best friend”
|Easy and his Mom
Hoping she doesn’t mind that
I stole this photo from her blog
“All about our truly best friend.” Those words are written on Easy’s home page and speaks volumes about the love that Easy’s Mom and Dad have for him. They are also darned funny too! From “Mischief Mo(A)nday to See Beautiful, DIY Thursday, to always acknowledging American holidays (for those that do not know, Easy lived in France), to experimenting with recipes, the list goes on and on as to how Easy spoke through the fingers of his typist and shared raucous humor, touching moments, scary DIY fails, disgust with his humans, and always, always love.
I learned that a “salamander’s ass is DARK!!!“, that the “postman came to Easy’s crib”, that an “elephant skate” is a car, that many blog posts began with a simple “Hell-o” or “H-ello” depending on Easy’s mood. I would laugh when anything came to Easy’s home and I would hear “Give it to the Weimaraner, Give it to the Weimaraner!!”
Easy was always one of the first (and often one of the ONLY ones to comment on Dakota’s blog.) Easy’s Mom won a number of doggy cookbooks from Dakota too, why? Because she was often one of the few people kind enough to enter.
From birthday cards and sweet comments, Easy cared about others. I could cite countless moments where that was the case.
Easy was a young dog when he passed. I am still reeling with shock. My heart hurts that he is gone. My blog travels will never be the same.
FROM DAKOTA’S DEN: We also want to extend our deepest sympathy and heartache for ALL of the furbabies who went to the Bridge in 2016. They ALL will be deeply missed.
